This is probably really simple but I can't figure it out. I've got a timeline and I want to add quite a few milestones for a programme - with lots of projects within it. I don't want the long callout lines that the milestone shapes have. I've saved one as a stencil so I can edit the master, and although I found how to delete the callout line it then loses its connectivity and macros. Can anyone provide a real quick and easy way of doing this please. It can't be that difficult! I just want the milestone shape and then the text directly above it.
thanks in advance
Depends on which version of Visio, and exactly which milestone shape. The secret though is to open the shape (don't ungroup), find which of the subshapes represents the line and hide the geometry sections, there appear to be 3 geometry sections in one shape.
Thanks Paul
its 2007 and Ive tried with a few - mainly the diamond and the cross. I've managed to reduce the line in the cross significantlybut not the text is too high up - I'm guessing because of hte frame around it and the shape itself - but can't see how to change that.
one hour down.... :D
Shape attached.
I didn't even see that you'd posted that shape - thanks so much!
