I am a rookie on Visio. How do you save a drawing as a PDF?

If you are using Visio 2007 then you can download and install the Microsoft addon

or you can use the Adobe Distiller or other versions
or there are many 3rd party addons from free to not free that will do the job
use your favourite search engine with the words "visio pdf" will show plenty of hits.
It may sound dumb, but you could buy or install Adobe Acrobat and then confirm that the PDF toolbar is turned on. This allows you to convert to PDF with one click start and then edit your drawing (layers, bookmarks, etc) inside Acrobat when the conversion finishes and opens in Acrobat.

I might be having a Sr moment, but, I don't remember having to download the add-on. Perhaps I did and have forgotten. But, in V2007, under File > Publish as PDF or XPS, will convert the Visio doc to PDF format.
Not sure why I would want to edit a PDF copy of a Visio doc when I can do much more within Visio? Extra step, perhaps, but much more powerful.
Not available on my Visio 2007 Pro. Do you have other parts of Office 2007 installed?
Also, I've heard that there are problems with an interaction between Visio and the PDF toolbar, I can't remember the details though.
Yes, I have the complete Office 2007. So, Visio inherited that from Office? :o
As far as I know, the PDF/XPF things have always been a separate download. I think they just missed the original ship-date or something. Who knows...

I have to throw my signature into the block of the drawings I submit for approval. It is much easier to simply stamp the PDF after the conversion than insert an image of my signature before I make the PDF. I also like to change the preferences so that the bookmark tab opens when the document opens and make the default opening to the full page view (rather than default width) and add bookmarks for the different page titles.
