Can I install Visio 2010 without uninstalling 2003 and have them both running at the same time? I'd like to upgrade, but I am in the middle of a project and cannot have any delays. If I can run them both at the same time, I could try some things on 2010, but if I have trouble, I can go back to 2003 until I'm up to speed.

Thanks

Yes you can install them side by side. However (there's always something), get used to the idea that when switching between the two you have to wait while Visio reconfigures the system for the version you are attempting to start.

Actually, now that you mention it, I think I experienced something like that when I upgraded to 2003. It went through some sort of reconfiguration process the first time I used the new version. It worried me a little at the time.

It sounds like I cannot have both pf them open at the same time. The system can only be configured one way at a time. Right?

That's correct, because some of it has to be placed in the system registry.

Maybe you could create a small VM and install one Visio Version there?
