Title: Please help with shapes
Post by: r40th on June 22, 2010, 01:25:04 PM
Hi,
When I type in "search for shapes" something like "duct" which I use regularly, it says: could not find a match, please search again.  That goes for many of the shapes that I normally use.
Can anyone help?
Visio 2007 SP2
Thanks,
Greg

Try searching the internet for Visio duct shapes.  Here's one site that I found:  http://www.shapesource.com/scripts/stencils.asp?idStencil=3

Thanks for the site wapperdude.
But has anyone else had all their shapes that they use regularly in shape search just disappear?

You might want to check this post:  Visio doesn't find any shapes when searching from the Shapes Pane   http://visguy.com/vgforum/index.php?topic=1652.0

Thanks again Wapperdude for that post, that seems to be the same problem as mine.
Here is what I have tried so far:
Checked firewall, re-booted several times, un-installed Visio and re-installed several times, un-installed Mozilla Fire Fox and set MS explorer as default browser, run MS update, set and re-set the search settings to everywhere and internet.  I can search for things mentioned in that post string ie: Ohio, United States, or Washington and I will get no results, not even standard stuff.  If anyone knows anything, I could sure use some help.
Thanks,
Greg
