Automatic Line Footage Label

I found out how to add a label to a line that automatically displays the footage of the line (Insert, Field, Geometry, Width).  What I can't seem to do is format the label so that I only get the footage displayed, not the inches.  No matter how I play with the Data Format, it keeps displaying both.  Anybody got any tricks?  Thanks.
