Title: Load a group of stencils
Post by: hangingout on February 21, 2018, 02:05:12 PM
Sorry, for what I know is a basic question, but I just loaded Visio 2016 coming from Visio 2000.  I have lots of old floor plan drawing and what I would like to do is one I open these drawing, then open a fixed set of stencils without having to select them all each time, something like (plumbing, furniture, appliances, etc). It would be great if I could also close the open ones at the same time as loading the new ones.

There must be a simple way to do this.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks Bob

When you save a drawing the set of open stencils is also normally saved as well. So when you reopen the document those same stencils should be reopened. Check this at
File -> Info -> Properties -> Advanced Properties
and check that Save Workspace is checked.
(These instructions are for Visio 2010 - the exact details may have changed - perhaps a Visio 2016 user will post any correction).
