Title: Unable to change Swimlane width in 2010
Post by: sundeep.joseph on September 01, 2017, 01:25:08 PM
I have been trying to change the height of the Cross functional swimlane in Visio 2010.  Been to various posts and forums for the past 3 days. Tried most of the fixes. Nothing works.  Can anyone help? This is urgent!

Just hover your mouse over the dividing line and the cursor will change to a split cursor, then drag the dividing line as required.

Unfortunately, it doesnt work.  I am using both the 2003 and the 2010 version on different laptops. While you can double click the title etc. and see the nodes, no amount of dragging helps resize the width.  I can change the length though.

Using V2007...
The swimlane is a grouped shape.  The width is set by the "lane title" shape.  Select the lane title shape, resize as necessary.

You need to make sure there is enough space before the first object in the diagram. You can't increase the width over an object, visio does not automatically move the diagram.
