I am creating a floor plan for a new bathroom, and would like to avoid creating my own shapes for the toilet, sink, bathtub, etc.  The existing shapes in Visio 2007 are very limited.  I have not found a resource to locate shapes from Koehler, American Standard, Crane, etc.  When I contact the manufacturers directly, they do no know how the AutoCad and Visio shapes are created or downloaded.

I find that very hard to understand, since the shapes would help them sell products, when used by a designer.

I think the old visio MVPS site had some of this kind of stuff (user developed).

BTW...if you think there is enough of a need, you can build stencils and contact these mfg to ask them to post a link to your website for visio stencils

Note, that you will be going head to head with google sketchup.....
this kind of thing is in that tools wheel house (3D photo realistic drawings of building landscapes, architectures, interiors)....
not really in visio wheel house (visual perception/cognition of abstract data).
