Title: Link shape text between 2 drawings - not 2 pages in the same drawing

Hi guys,

Nice to meet you guys. I'm newbee here.

I read a few topics here about linking shape text between 2 shapes in different pages in the same drawing like in the topic below:

But i want to link shape text between 2 shapes in 2 different drawings.

I googled but found nothing ? It seems to be kinda impossible ?

Please help me guys.

What about OLE embedding?

Tks for your hint but i haven't heard 'bout "OLE".  :(

Can you give me more hints ? Or which term should i google ?

OLE stands for object linking and embedding. That's what you do everytime you copy a content and paste it in another app.
In the case of pasting in the same app, you must use the insert object function (In the toolbar) and choose "visio document".
You'll have the display of the drawing, but the drawing itself will be embedded in a separate file. Use the option "link to document".
