It worked... but i don't know how. Now it doesn't

Hi all,

So! I've got a stencil shape that contains several shape data fields which are subsequently shown using fields in the text section of the shape. The shape is essentially a container and a macro cycles through the contents to get the information it needs (in particular dates! of the earliest/last items in the container).

It then overwrites the shape data with the values found in the subshapes. That all works the way it should.

However! it seems that the pre-defined fields don't update as the shape data is updated.
The fields do seem to update if I manually change the shape data with the date picker.

Any bright ideas?

Have you tried replicating the working diagram on a new sheet? Perhaps you can share some of your knowledge
