Hello,

I have a feeling that there is a simple fix to this but I'm unable to find it!

All I am attempting to do is have text show up below an shape rather than on top of it.  It's been quite a while since I've used Visio, but I distinctly remember being able to click an shape, start typing, and have the text displayed directly below the shape rather than on top.

Is my memory playing tricks on me?

I am using Visio 2007.

Hi,

I think there is not one-touch method.
But if you make a shape by inserting image, and when you add text,
the text is directly below the shape.
Though it is two-touch, change the text-block height to zero
with text-block tool button by dragging text block handle.
And change the text-paragraph to up with menu format text.
By the way, it is very easy, if you use Visio2010 Technical Preview. ;)

Exactly what I was looking for.  Thanks!

1. Did you notice the blue handles and the Ribbon? Junichi is answering forum questions with Visio 2010. Cool!
2. Cool Kanji tooltip!!
