Visio 2010: Connector length is insane!

Hi - I searched first and couldn't find this posted already, so here goes.

When does problem occur?   

When I hover over a shape, and then hover over the triangles that come up, and then click a connector to connect two shapes.

What is the problem?

The connector automatically adds 2 blank sheets to the bottom of the diagram sheet, and one end of the connector is way down there connected to nothing.  While the other end is properly connected to the shape that I wanted as the originator of the connection.

How I get it to work:

I have to click on the end of the connector that is two pages down, and slowly drag it back up on to my single diagram sheet and connect it to the proper shape I need it attached to.


Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
