Title: Stencils and round-cornered connectors
Post by: billman on August 04, 2017, 06:05:36 PM
This is weird.

I'm using Visio 2010 and created a custom stencil with several different dynamic connectors with different ends.  I set the round corners for each connector in the stencil to 0.625 radius corners.  However, when I drag/use the connector from the stencil it ends with perfectly square corners on the drawing.  The corners are round in each stencil connector shape, but I can't figure out how to get the round corners to show up when I use the stencil shape.  Is there a connector setting somewhere I'm not aware of?

Thanks - Bill

Either change the connector master from the document stencil or delete it.

Thanks, Yacine - I didn't know how to do what you suggested, but it gave me some ideas and I found that the following solved my problem:

1) open the stencil for editing.
2) open the Stencil Explorer
3) under Styles in the Stencil Explorer, right click on Connectors (is this the "Connector Master"?) and select Define Styles.
4) edit the Line format to have rounded corners
5) Apply and save the stencil.

Then when I use the connectors from the stencil, I get the rounded corners.  Thanks.
