Title: Change line color of master shapes
Post by: andrejjj222 on November 28, 2019, 06:31:05 PM
Hello! I have a question about changing line color of master shapes. When I try to change the line color (outline) of the shape I get the message "shape protection container and/or layer properties prevent complete execution of this command".

I tried deleting and dragging the master shape back on to my page and then it let me change the color. But not all the lines changed to the color black which I selected. Some changed to blue or brown.

If anyone could explain to me what is going on that would be a great help.

Thank you!

I think you need to actual edit the master shape
Select in stencil ==> edit ==> edit shape.
This will open a new window with the shape in it....make changes...click save and will ask you "you are sure?"

vs

select shape, then pick a line color    (this wont work).

That shape is a very complex grouped shape.  Many of the subshapes have formatting protection that prevents doing what you want.  You can ungroup the whole thing, select everything, and regroup.  But, the z-order might not be correct for some of the shapes and you'll have to send them forward or backward.
